When you assign an agent to one of your properties, you will be asked to provide this code. Follow these steps for Government Gateway Authentication:

1. Register your personal details. (You will be asked to provide your date of birth, national insurance number, passport number etc. This is so the VOA can confirm your identity).

2. Register the Business

3. Claim the Property using the Rating List data on the VOA website.

4. Appoint a professional agent to act on your behalf. (Sterling (UK) Associates Agent Code: 198562).

5. If you have more than one property this process will have to be repeated.
